Ladi6 Announces Long-Awaited Album Le Vā – A Tribute to Legacy, Loss, and Rebirth
Award-winning artist Ladi6 is proud to announce the release of her deeply personal new album, Le Vā – her first full-length body of work in over seven years. A soulful return and reinvention, Le Vā marks a powerful new chapter in her celebrated career, offering a soundscape that is both intimate and expansive, rooted in electronic soul, textured beats, and emotional depth.
Years in the making, Le Vā is more than an album – it’s a dedication. It honours the passing of Ladi6’s beloved mother, Fuarosa, in 2020, and serves as a creative vessel for grief, remembrance, and reconnection. "Le Vā is the space between – between life and death, between who I was and who I’m becoming," says Ladi6. “It’s about acknowledging loss, holding love, and finding new ground in that in-between.”
The album reflects a shift not only in sound but in process. After decades of collaboration, Ladi6 and her production team Parks (Brent Park) and Bharu (Brandon Haru) embarked on a recalibration – letting go of old systems and rediscovering their creative flow. The result is a fresh yet familiar evolution of the wavey electronic soul music that has defined Ladi6’s sound, layered with new vulnerabilities and perspectives born of personal growth.
To celebrate the album, Ladi6 will embark on the Le Vā Album Tour – a series of live shows that will bring the new project to life while revisiting iconic songs from her back catalogue. This tour is infused with gratitude – a thank you to the loyal community that has walked alongside her journey for over two decades. “We’ve curated a show that honours where we’ve come from and where we’re headed.
